We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully when using the Service, or when providing information to us through the Service.  You understand that by using Service you are accepting our practices as described in this Privacy Policy.

We view your personal privacy as an important issue, and are committed to respecting and protecting your personal information. This online Privacy Policy is provided to inform you of the kinds of personal information that QorusDocs gathers; and how it is held, used and managed. We encourage you to periodically check for updates.

We will ask you to consent to Our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy when you first visit the Service. By using the Service and agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to Our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

 

  1. Information You Provide as a User which may be shared/Information Obtained by Us
    1. Meta Data

      The following Privacy Policy summarizes the various ways we treat personally identifiable and other information about you and your computer, mobile or other device when you access, visit and/or use the Service. This Privacy Policy does not cover information collected elsewhere, including without limitation offline and on sites, applications, destinations, or services linked to from the Service.

      We collect and store preview images and contextual data related to the use of Your content (“Meta Data”) which does not include Your content itself. Such Meta Data does not include any Personal Information.

    2. Personal Information currently solicited:

      We collect your first and last name, company name, country, state and email address (“Personal Information”)

    3. Uses made of collected Personal Information:

      We collect and log your Personal Information in order to:

      • identify you when you sign-in to your Qorus account;
      • send you information you have requested, such as our newsletters and alerts;
      • send you product release information;
      • general communication and marketing purposes;
      • carry out statistical analysis of the Service and its usage, in order to improve the Services;
      • contact you directly, or via one of Our distribution partners.
    4. Information Sharing:

      We may disclose aggregate statistics about Users of the Service in order to describe our Services to prospective partners, sponsors and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will include no Personal Information.

      We may disclose your Personal Information:

        • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or official investigations or legal proceedings initiated by governmental and/or law enforcement officials, as well as private parties, including, for example, in response to subpoenas, search warrants, court orders, or other legal process;
        • when We believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect Our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
        • to any other third party with your prior consent;
        • as our business changes, we may buy or sell various assets. In the event all or a portion of the assets owned or controlled by us, our parent or any subsidiary or affiliated entity are sold, assigned, transferred or acquired by another company (including, without limitation, via merger), the Personal Information and information from and/or about our Service users may be among the transferred assets;
        • We reserve the right to use, transfer, sell, and share aggregated, anonymous data about our users as a group for any lawful business purpose, such as analyzing usage trends and seeking compatible advertisers, sponsors, clients and customers;
        • your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction;
        • to service providers We use to provide certain services in support of the Service. These service providers may need to have access to your Personal Information in order to provide their services; and
        • business partners which offer certain services to complement our Service. If you wish to use those services you will need to share your Personal Information with them in order to receive these services. These business partners are authorized to use your Personal Information only to the extent necessary to provide these services to Us.
    5. Information Disclosed with respect to A Viewer:

      A User may request that a Viewer provide the User with information via the Service in order for the Viewer to view that User’s content (“User Content”). In particular, in order to access User Content that a User wants to share with the Viewer, the Viewer may be asked to provide its email address upon opening a Qorus User’s link. We store this information on behalf of our Users. In the event the Viewer provides a User with this information, the Viewer provides such information accordance with that User’s privacy practices and policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of our Users and we do not access this information except with a User’s permission and solely in order to provide the Service and related support and assistance. If the Viewer is a no longer wants to be contacted by the User, the Viewer shall  contact such User directly to make sure request.  In case that the User Content shared with the Viewer is managed by a provider other than the User, such provider will also have access to the Viewer’s information.

      If a Viewer obtains viewing rights to the User Content with respect to the above, we will also share with the User (and the provider, in case that the User Content shared with the Viewer is managed by a provider other than the User) the activities the Viewer performs on the User Content (such as whether the Viewer read the User Content or created new documents from such User Content).

    6. Information Disclosed When Working with Provider Content:

      A User may elect to view content from providers (when adding content via the Qorus catalog or by entering a content event with a User’s partner) on our Services (“Provider Content”).  In such case the User’s email address will be provided to such provider and any partner of the provider who provides the Provider Content to the User (any such provider partner who will be providing the Provider Content will be specified on the Services).

      We will also share with the provider and the provider partner (if any) the activities you perform on the Provider Content (such as whether you read the Provider Content or created new documents from such Provider Content). 

    7. Personal Information currently solicited per paragraph 1(b) in this policy is required for the successful operation of the Service. A user who does not consent to the collection, processing, and storage of his/her personal information will not be able to use the Service. Consent for the collection, processing, and storage of personal information may be withdrawn by using “Submit a request” on Qorus HelpCenter: https://helpcenter.qorusdocs.com/hc/en-us or by sending an email to security@qorusdocs.com
  1. Storage And Tracking

    We will retain Personal Information we process on behalf of Our clients for as long as needed in order to provide services to Users. We will retain and use this Personal Information as necessary to comply with Our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our agreements.

    1. Consent in respect of your Personal Information:

      By submitting Personal Information to Us you acknowledge and agree that you have expressly consented to the collection, use and disclosure practices set out in this Privacy Policy as they relate to your Personal Information.

    2. Cookies:

      The Service will at times place and/or store cookies on your computer, mobile or other device.  A "cookie" is a small piece of information that our Service provides to your browser once you authenticate at our Service. The Service supplies your browser with cookies that contain a unique identifier used to authenticate you on our Service. It functions as your identification card and enables the Service to remember your identity for a defined period of time.

    We use 3rd Party providers to gather prospective information and contact future customers. You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing information emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails or you can contact Us at info@qorusdocs.com.

  2. Changing or Deleting Your Information

    If you are a registered user, you may review the Personal Information provided in your Qorus account profile by navigating to your “Profile Settings.” You can change certain elements such as Time Zone, Language Preference, and Country.

    First name, Last name, State, and Email Address cannot be updated in QorusDocs. To modify these, please contact your organization.

    If you no longer desire to use our Service, you may request for your account and data to be deleted using “Submit a request” on Qorus HelpCenter: https://helpcenter.qorusdocs.com/hc/en-us

    In some cases, we may retain copies of your information as described in the Section entitled “Storage And Tracking” above.

    Information that you submit via the Services is held on servers in Microsoft Azure data centers in the USA.

    The security of your Personal Information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as accessing our platforms), We encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
